Under the act it would be illegal for any resident to pay a doctor privately for any medical treatment covered by CalCare.   \nThe outcome:  Medicare\, Medi-Cal\, Tricare\, Employer Group Coverage\, Individual and Family Plans… ALL CURRENT avenues would become illegal. \nWe already have a provider shortage\, and this would almost certainly chase more providers away\, at the same time as surging demand (for free healthcare). \nHow does SAHU make a difference?  \nAs a leader in our local chapter of CAHIP\, SAHU has front row access to our political action endeavors.
