In this capacity\, Mr. Atha is accountable for identifying and creating new innovative business opportunities for RCMG and RCMG-affiliated organizations. Additionally\, Mr. Atha is accountable for creating opportunities for expanding and improving both the Medi-Cal and Medicare lines of business. He also often represents RCMG at the national level as part of the American Physician Group’s leadership. \nMr. Atha is a Medi-Cal Managed Care industry leader with 30 years of experience directly involved with the design of health benefits to underserved populations. Although he has national experience\, he has primarily focused on California Managed Care programs. Mr. Atha has held regional leadership positions in both Anthem and Health Net. He has also been a technical advisor to national Medicaid program development teams. Additionally\, he served with the Department of Health Care Services in the development of provider network design and network access standard regulations as well as managed care program implementation throughout California.
